Involving the Community
Summary
This solution opens up the urban planning process by directly involving the affected community in key stages of research and solution proposal. One example of this is the Jacksonville Community Council, which forms Inquiry groups formed of both topic experts and community volunteers. Another example is the Cheonggyecheon Stream Restoration Project in Seoul which held over 4,200 meetings to build consensus around the project.
